Avon Valley Youth Choir launches new logo and announces their forthcoming Summer Concert.
The exciting young singers of the Avon Valley Youth Choir have a smart new logo and website to help them promote their concerts. The logo has been designed by Ian Vickers of the graphic design company, Eureka! Keeping within the spirit of the Avon Valley Youth Choir, Ian’s design was a gift to the choir, enabling them to ensure that all of their concert proceeds go directly to their chosen charities. Ian said that, ‘although it started out as an abstraction of AVYC, the logo ended up looking a bit like Church architecture, which was no bad thing!’. Richard Ward, who has sung with the group, designed the website, which will enable supporters to keep in touch with events and even to hear recordings of the choir.
Summer Concert – Gloria!
Ringwood Parish Church will ring to the joyful sounds of The Avon Valley Youth Choir, whose Summer Concert this year features Vivaldi’s Gloria. This joyful work composed by the youthful Vivaldi will be brought to life by our choir of talented young singers. With its invited membership drawn from the best singers in a number of local schools, AVYC meets to give charity concerts and to provide unique singing opportunities for its members.
Run on an entirely voluntary basis by Chris and Olivia Sparkhall, AVYC relies on sponsorship in order to ensure that all of the concert proceeds go directly to our chosen charities. Last Summer we raised £1115 for the Trussell Trust and at Christmas, over £500 for Damerham Church. This time the proceeds from our retiring collection will go to Naomi House.
This free concert takes place at 7 p.m. on Saturday 4 September 2010 in Ringwood Parish Church. Please come and support us!
Currently we do not have another event planned. If you are interested in having the Avon Valley Youth Choir sing at an event for you, please contact us.
